We are (8) days in… we have written consistently for over a week. That in itself is cause for celebration. Things are shifting. Our writing is changing. During this process expect some surprises… things that we haven’t thought about for a long time may rise during this process. We must trust that we are being called to honor what wants to be written. It is no longer OK for us to keep things hidden, stuffed in the back of the closet. The ground beneath us is cracking. And so we surrender… we trust… we open ourselves up to becoming more vulnerable and we allow for the page to carry us! We remember that even if the ground beneath us opens up, threatening to swallow us whole… we will land on our feet and stand in safety. TRUST!
Today in my response to the prompt I allowed myself to move to another voice, to another point of view. I allowed my character to speak. I surrendered to what wanted to be written. I wanted my character to bring me back into HER story. Remember there is no right or wrong way to do the challenge, it is simply about honoring where the pen wants to be guided and writing in community.
Take a deep breath… sit somewhere comfortable… don’t think about it… allow what comes up to guide you. We will start with a warm-up, set your timer for 3 minutes:
Warm-up prompt 3 minutes: THE THING ABOUT LOSS… (BEGIN!)
Deep breath– release…
Day 8 prompt: SOMETHING WASN’T RIGHT… (Set timer for 10 minutes–BEGIN!)
Something wasn’t right…
Yesterday someone reached out to me asking if they could join the challenge late. ANYONE can join at any point. Start your 30 days whenever you feel called to begin! You are ALL welcome!
Tell me about your process… How do you feel?
There is no right or wrong way to do the prompts. They can be written in the form of prose or poetry, 1st person or 3rd, in the voice of your main character or villain… the point is to write… to keep writing… to stay with me and not give up.
I look forward to reading your responses.
My loves… this is a shared writing community. Please know that what one of us is experiencing someone else might be. You never know who you can inspire with just your words.
Please share your responses to the 30 Day ~ Becoming Vulnerable Writing Challenge in the comment section below.
I will post my prompt response shortly.
Wishing you all the most beautiful day filled with love, light and continual inspiration.
And so it is. Namaste. Aché
With all my love,
