Day 12 ~ Becoming Vulnerable 30 Day Writing Challenge

The past!

This is the root of all things… the things that have happened to us, people we have met, our experiences (good or bad)… our past informs who will become and sometimes this can change us forever. Some people are not ready to explore the past. Sometimes its easier to fictionalize our stories so that we aren’t so close to the truth of our story. But the past is so much of who we are.

This morning I spent some time in my past with the young me and she has her own story to tell. So as we begin this day…even if what we discover from the past may feel dark… play some music and smile!!! The past doesn’t have to incarcerate us.
