LGBT Open Mic: Noche Bohemia / Bohemian Night

The one and only LBGT Open Mic in The Heights is Back! Join multimedia LGBT artists for a night of love, creativity and activism in a safe and welcoming space. Artists and art lovers who have attended since 2005 to new ones are welcome. As usual, there will something to drink, and to snack on (Yoseli’s Salsa) and we’ll ask for a $5.00 donation for Word Up and for featured artists.

¡La única actividad artística LGBT en Washinton Heights volvió! Comparte con artistas multidisciplinarios una noche llena de amor, creatividad y activismo. Artistas y admiradores que han particiapdo desde el 2005 hasta los que nunca han asistido, están invitados. Como siempre, habrá algo de tomar y de picar (la salsa de Yoseli) y se pedirá una donación de $5.00 para Word Up y los artistas invitados.

Nancy La Lanne also known as Bliss is a second generation photographer. Her father came to the US through the NY Institute of Photography. She is an evolving artist from Brooklyn where she was conceived, born and raised. She is a proud Brooklynite by way of a Costa Rican mother and a Haitian father. She is a free-form photographer and loves to take pictures of people, things, places and moments she finds intriguing. lalannephotography@gmail.com

  
Charlie Vázquez is an author and the director of the Bronx Writers Center. He served as coordinator for Puerto Rico’s Festival de la Palabra for three years and has finished his third novel, which he is shopping to agents. 

  
Manuel Adrián López nació en Morón, Cuba (1969). Poeta y narrador. Su obra ha sido publicada en varias revistas literarias de España, Estados Unidos y Latinoamérica. Tiene publicado los libros: Yo, el arquero aquel (2011), Room at the Top (2013), Los poetas nunca pecan demasiado (el cual ganó Medalla de Oro en los Florida Book Awards 2013), El barro se subleva (2014) y Temporada para suicidios (2015).
