For the Food on Fridays carnival, any post remotely related to food is welcome—though we love to try new dishes, your post doesn’t have to be a recipe. We’re pretty relaxed over here, and stories and photos are as welcome as menus and recipes. When your Food on Fridays contribution is ready, just grab the button to include with your post. It ties us together visually. Then fill in the boxes of this linky tool to join the fun!

Food on Fridays with Ann
These little crackers are pretty good. They taste like…crackers.
As people stuck eating gluten free can attest, this is not always the case. Sometimes a gluten-free cracker does not taste like a standard cracker.
I’m enjoying this treat. Well done, Glutino. Well done.

I absolutely agree, sometimes a cracker does not taste like a cracker when it is gluten free 🙂 It’s great that Glutino have made one that does, and that tastes good as well.
This week I’m sharing a bit of family history as well as a delicious summer dessert. Thank you for hosting, Ann, and have a lovely weekend 🙂 x

Thank you for hosting. Today I have resurrected an old story about burnt beans. They were string beans, with a bit of crumbled bacon and some of the bacon grease in them. (this is the southern way Robert’s mother always did them.) Anyway they were ruined! But all was forgiven.

Hazel, it’s always a treat to see you here–and my mom makes beans the exact same way (with crumbled bacon and some of the grease in them…though I don’t remember her burning them). I love a story that ends in forgiveness!
